Effect of vacuum gas quenching and ordinary oil quenching on the performance of ring mold

The pellet machine is widely used in the whole set of feed technology. The ring mold is the core part of the pellet machine. The service life and performance of the ring mold directly affect the economic benefits of the feed manufacturer. In addition to the raw materials and machining technology, the performance of the ring mold mainly depends on its heat treatment process. The heat treatment of the ring mold in the market includes ordinary oil quenching and vacuum gas quenching. Vacuum gas quenching has the characteristics of no oxidation, good surface finish and small deformation, which has a wide application prospect in the field of mold heat treatment. In order to explore the influence law of vacuum air quenching on the wear resistance of 4Cr13 ring die, this paper studies the change law of mechanical properties and wear resistance through the contrast experiment of common oil quenching heat treatment and vacuum air quenching heat treatment methods, and makes a detailed analysis and evaluation on the samples treated by different processes by using modern analysis methods. The main work completed and the main results achieved are as follows: The results are as follows: 1. The macroscopic fracture morphology of the failure of the ring die was observed in detail, and several typical forms and mechanisms of the wear fracture of 4Cr13 stainless steel were analyzed, which provided important theoretical guidance for improving the wear resistance of the ring die. 2. The heating and cooling characteristics of vacuum heat treatment, the influence of different quenching media on the surface gloss, and the improvement of comprehensive mechanical properties of materials by vacuum quenching are analyzed in detail, which has certain guiding significance for further optimization of vacuum air quenching process. 3. The characteristics and parameters of 6.0vvpt-eh-50/50 vacuum quenching furnace and rx2-50-13 ordinary medium and high temperature box furnace are compared and analyzed. The hardware conditions are provided to ensure the stability of the vacuum gas quenching process, and the furnace layout structure of the ring mold is considered to achieve the heat treatment effect of small deformation and uniform heating of the ring mold. 4. Designed the fixture of wear sample, impact sample, tensile sample and tensile sample, and analyzed the heat treatment sample accurately by statistical analysis. 5. The hardness, wear resistance, tensile properties and impact properties of vacuum gas quenched and common oil quenched samples were tested. The results show that the hardness of the common oil quenched ring die is hrc51.2, the tensile strength of the sample is 1000MPa, the impact energy is 5.12j, the hardness of the vacuum gas quenched ring die is hrc52.8, the tensile strength of the sample is 1283mpa, and the impact energy is 10J. 6. The results show that the wear resistance of vacuum gas quenching can be increased by 20% ~ 50% compared with that of ordinary oil quenching, and the wear resistance life of the ring die can be significantly improved.
