A tea party sounds like something very simple but it does demand preliminary planning. To organize a tea party, you need to have some knowledge of the ritual and the best way to organize it. A tea party will be a spectacular way to celebrate your special occasion.
This beautiful ceremony is a symbol of class and elegance. Such types of celebrations will be appropriate for baby showers, all-girl gatherings, anniversaries and even birthday parties. A tea party looks sophisticated and classy.
However you decorate, think along the lines of a fairy garden tea party. If you want to go a bit further, you can buy reasonably priced paper lanterns and hang those from tree branches or the ceiling in your house. If weather permits, you can set up outside and hang decorations from the trees in your yard.
Another fun idea is to sprinkle sparkly confetti on the tables to look like pixie dust. You can get inexpensive streamers and balloons in those colors as well. A great color scheme to stick with is green, purple, and pink. I suggest getting some Tinkerbell cups, plates and napkins. You can pick up the basics at any party supply store. The second thing you will want to do is get the decorations.
There are even tea party music CD’s you can purchase. I have some pretty heart ones & some flower ones & even some dragonfly lights ( those are for the fairy tea party – see my page on fairy tea parties) Play soft music in the background. I use some of those fancy shaped Christmas light that are sold now in all kinds of shapes. Use candles both tapers & scattered votives or tea lights.
Sometimes you can find then for a bargain since they no longer have a lid! Use traditional vases, or teapots that no longer have lids. I had a birthday tea in early June & I put vases of peonies everywhere, they are beautiful. Fresh flowers are a must, use them everywhere. You will want to make the house as pretty as possible.
