Party decoration ideas star background
Whether it is a baby shower or a birthday party or a wedding anniversary party or a girl’s night out party, there’s nothing like using creative party theme ideas to really get it rocking! The invitations you send out, the food, the tableware, the décor, and of course the activities, can all be based on the theme you choose for your party. Given below are a few creative party themes that should make your party a great success as well as memorable.
Princess Theme Party
Starring in a Video Party Theme: Get that camcorder out, or fix up a tripod and mount a camera on it, and start filming. The guests can prepare in advance for it. They can choose any role they want to play, such as a character from a favorite movie or TV serial. Or it could be an interview style kind of show, or a stand-up comedy, or a mimicry show. Or perhaps you could actually rehearse and make a small movie.
Disco Dancing Party Theme: Oh yes, this is an all time favorite. Set up disco strobe lights, if you can, or fix a disco ball bang in the middle of your living room, and begin playing those Bee Gees, Diana Ross, Gloria Gaynor, and Barry White numbers. Don’t forget to tell your guests to come dressed like the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ look.
Retro Party Theme: Put on the music and get up of the mod era or the hippies’ era. The go-go glasses, the mini skirts, the bell-bottoms, and of course the hair-dos and make-up. Play Beatles’ numbers or similar music of that time and groove to it.
Fortune Telling Party Theme: Hang beaded curtains, put up posters of witches and wizards on the walls, hang tinfoil cutouts of shaped like stars and moons from the ceiling, use a glow lamp to highlight the center of the room, add lots of glow effects to enhance the ambience of the theme. And of course wear gypsy style dresses with large hoop earrings, lots of chunky necklaces and bangles. And of course get out the tarot cards, or an Ouija board.
Arabian Nights Party Theme: Spread out some thick, colorful carpets on the floor, and throw some large cushions and bolster pillows on them. Have hookahs, have incense burning here and there, put up large posters of camels crossing the desert, and of course play some middle-eastern music. As a matter fact, you get great foot-tapping middle-eastern pop music these days. The guests can wear slinky harem pants, pointed slip-on shoes, and turbans. The food can be as ethnic as you want it to be, which can be spread on the floor as they do in the middle-eastern culture.
